 Well, the holidays are upon us. The store is a buzz with customers old and new, buying gifts for friends and family as well as for themselves! It's great to see shoppers enjoying the store and finding goodies in the racks. Shelley has hung the tinsel with care; even the arch-top is in the spirit! We are receiving fresh new vinyl daily and the staff is feverishly processing tons of preloved LPs & CDs out to the bins everyday.
This year we are saying "hip-hop for the holidays"! Not that we need a reason, but a recently acquired killer collection of old-school titles is just hitting the racks on top of a beefy selection of new jams and reissued classics.
 But all genres are well stocked as well as box-sets which are popular this time of year. And if you want to give the gift of music but don't want to do the pickin, we have gift certificates (click here or get em at the store). In short, we are here for all your holiday shopping needs! But before I sign off, I wanted to shout about Tyler Ramsey at The Radio Room this Wednesday, Dec 14. His recent material really showcases his singer/songwriter chops but he's also a monster on finger-style acoustic. In a past life he was chairman of the boards (thinking jazz-fusion Fender Rhodes but he's also about 9 feet tall so I wouldn't mess with him on the court either!). And if that were't enough Mourning Dove is opening. Our love for Lisa & Niel is well documented; like the Sirens of Greek mythology they will destroy you! Get yer tickets here.

This 40-track collection presents the A and B-side of every single that organist Art Neville, guitarist Leo Nocentelli, bassist George Porter, Jr., and drummer Joseph "Zigaboo" Modeliste cut for the Josie, Reprise & Warner Bros. Virtually their entire singles output (all but two co-produced by the late, great Allen Toussaint) save for a few odds 'n' ends issued mostly overseas. That means that you not only get every hit along with it's hard-to-find B-side but also the rare single mixes, including the especially rare original mono single mixes of the 1968-1971 Josie sides, very few of which have appeared on vinyl since their original 45 release.
