Dear Friend,

For some of our clients, hearing no is so common - it’s hard to expect to hear anything different.

Like when Loretta, who did not know where to turn for help with aging in place. Loretta has no family or friends in the community and was facing major health and lifestyle concerns.

A Southeast Senior Services case manager helped her access in-home services, apply for the Pioneers’ Home, apply for Medicaid LTC benefits, connect with Behavioral Health counseling, cope with the stressors of surgery and illness, and work through constant difficult decisions. At the same time, the case manager helped her how to think through problems while providing feedback and support. Loretta knows she can call, and Southeast Senior Services will do its best to help with what’s occurring in her life. Loretta believes Catholic Community Service has been a lifeline for her.

Through assistance, feedback, and support from Catholic Community Service, Loretta was able to keep living independently and make plans for her future.

At first, she was distressed, but who wouldn’t be? Because of your consistent and generous support - our case managers are turning nos into yeses each and every day.

Will you join us in ensuring that every senior and individual in Southeast Alaska lives with dignity, care, and compassion? This holiday season, your donation will be matched by the generous Gaguine Foundation. I appreciate your help in serving more Southeast seniors and families.
