Dining hours of operation through Dec. 11

See the hours of operation for dining venues for finals week.

Student Health Service clinic hours

The last day of the Student Health Service clinic operations this semester will be Dec. 10, with an on-call nurse available 24/7 to assist with healthcare concerns. A list of off-campus healthcare providers is available on this website. The SHS clinic will reopen on Jan. 9.

Final grades visible Dec. 16 (undergraduates)

Undergraduate faculty must report all fall semester grades to the Office of the University Registrar by noon on Dec. 15. Undergraduate students can expect to view their fall semester final grades on Friday, Dec. 16.

Staying on campus over winter break? See hours of operation for dining and more

For students approved for break housing, see the winter break Operating Hours page for key campus services. Be sure to know which services are operating and when, and plan ahead as needed.

Important January return-to-campus health information

As finals week comes to an end, we want to remind you of ways to stay healthy as you travel home for the winter break. Before you return to campus in January, we encourage you to take a COVID test within 72 hours before arriving here, as we have typically seen surges of COVID after breaks. If you are actively ill (e.g., flu, COVID, RSV, etc.), do not return to campus in January, but remain home until your symptoms are improved and you have not had a fever (without using fever-reducing medications) for 24 hours; for gastrointestinal illnesses such as noroviruses, you can be contagious for up to two days after your symptoms have resolved, so remain away until then.

Wake Forest to play in the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl on Dec. 23

Wake Forest will play Missouri in the 2022 Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl on Friday, Dec. 23 at 6:30 p.m. in Tampa, Fla. at Raymond James Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN. Wake Forest's appearance in the Gasparilla Bowl will mark the first time the Demon Deacons will have played a postseason game in Tampa. Visit Bowl Central for all bowl details and ticket information.

Next issue of WFU Should Know will be sent on Dec. 29

Please note that because of winter break, the next edition of WFU Should Know will be sent on Dec. 29. However, please regularly check your WFU email during break — it is important that all students check their WFU email regularly in case we have news or updates to share about the spring semester.

ICYMI (In Case You Missed It):

  • Resident student check out procedures — Check out is 2 p.m. on Dec. 11. Pack all valuables and belongings you'll need over the break, as University personnel will not be available to give you access to your room over the break. Rooms will be inspected, and Deacon OneCard access will end at 2 p.m. on Dec. 11 and will begin again at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7. Read the full message about how to prepare your room for winter break.
  • Parking info: where to leave your car on campus during winter break, registering a vehicle for spring semester, and early-arrival parking in January — See the Transportation and Parking Services website for information on where to park registered vehicles over break, how to register a vehicle for the spring semester (the process varies by resident student, commuter, etc.), and early January parking info.
  • Thank a Teacher program — Please consider thanking your teachers (Wake Forest faculty and staff) who have made a difference in your education. Fill out a form at go.wfu.edu/thankateacher by Dec. 10 and the Center for the Advancement of Teaching will send your message to the person you are thanking at the end of the semester.

We wish you all a safe, healthy, and happy winter break!
