December 2022
Hello All,
We made it through another year, I hope all of you have had a good year and progressed towards your aviation goals. I would like to thank the entire chapter for helping with all we have done this year, from the Young Eagles rallies to the breakfast fundraiser at Oshkosh and all the successful chapter meetings. I hope you can all join us at our December meeting and potluck to celebrate the holidays. This is also our annual business meeting where we will elect officers, many on the current board are ready to have some other chapter members step up and take the reins for awhile. So please, if you are interested in a position reach out to me to discuss. I would say on average it takes about five hours a month to keep things rolling from each board member. We are working towards getting a new youth activity set up in the hangar for next year and have some other activities planned as well. If you are not ready to be on the board, keep reaching out to see how you can help the board keep our chapter successful.
I was in Wichita for work last week and ended up being able to chase my friend in his hot air balloon one evening, that was a first for me and quite fun! I hope to take a ride in a balloon some day. I also hope to do some more flying soon when my travel tempo subsides!

December Meeting Details
Annual Holiday Potluck and Business Meeting
Date: Thursday, December 15, 2022
Time: 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Location: CB SkyShare, 3715 Airport Rd, Ogden, UT 84405
Please join us for our annual holiday potluck dinner and (short) business meeting. The chapter will be providing brisket sandwiches. Please bring a side or dessert to share. Lastly, if a few of you could come around 6pm to help set up, that would be great!

Trip Report
Bruce Mason, an honorary Chapter 58 Young Eagles Pilot sent me a few pictures of his trip up to the Locomotive Springs backcountry strip, along with Shawn and Grant from Chapter 23. Bruce flies his RV out of Ogden.
