Dear Hillside Supporter:

Thank you very much for your interest in Hills For Everyone.

Hills For Everyone’s periodic e-newsletters and action alerts cover issues that affect your quality of life and topics impacting the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor. We report on matters affecting animals and plant communities, wildlife movement areas, protected public lands, natural land acquisitions, public policies, and threats to area parklands. We generally send one email per month with action alerts as necessary based on city-specific notices. Our newsletters are archived on the Hills For Everyone website. We encourage you to scan past issues to get a flavor of the range of issues Hills For Everyone covers.

By way of background, Hills For Everyone founded Chino Hills State Park. As the science related to wildlife movement areas and conservation biology evolved, we expanded our focus to the entire Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor. The Corridor spans from the 60 and 605 freeways near Whittier to the 91 and 71 freeways near Corona and includes 19,000+ acres of protected natural lands.

These lands are within an hour’s drive of over half the state’s population and also serve as homes, feeding grounds, nesting areas, and migratory stops to many species. Through our work, we educate, organize, and inform decision makers, planning staff, agencies, and residents about the importance of the Wildlife Corridor. Having access to natural lands improves our health, our quality of life, and allows co-existence with some of the most important species found in our region.

As you become more familiar with our work, I hope you will consider donating to Hills For Everyone’s efforts, and helping us preserve this vibrant natural landscape for future generations.

Thank you very much for supporting our efforts to connect, protect, and restore the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor.

Thank you,

Claire Schlotterbeck
