A Bundle of Joy
Foundation Stage 2 performed their Nativity Play ' A Bundle of Joy' this week in Chapel. The pupils looked wonderful in their costumes. They delivered the true story of Christmas to the tune of many catchy songs. They did an amazing job at such a young age, and we are very proud of them all! May Jesus, Our Bundle of Joy, bless all our Loreto Families this Christmas.

The event raised a total of £1,500.00 for the charity. Well done to all those involved, the evening was a great success.

Year 6 Fundraising Event
We held a Christmas fundraising event for Years 3 and 4 this term. This consisted of two activities, one was ‘Santa’s Sack’ and the other was ‘Guess how old Santa is’. The pupils really enjoyed it and there were great prizes to be won. We worked on this as a team and it was a great success, raising £170 in total.

Faith Diary
The third Sunday of Advent is traditionally called Gaudete Sunday. Gaudete is the Latin word for “rejoice.” This Sunday is so named because “Rejoice” is the first word in the entrance antiphon for today's Mass, taken from Philippians 4:4-5 which reads: “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice! The Lord is near.” This Sunday we light the pink candle on the Advent wreath instead of a purple candle, as a joyful reminder that Christmas - the coming of our Saviour - is near!
