Throughout his years of service in the Neenah Lions Club, Roy received the highest awards given out and only very recently was honored and presented a recent "Certificate of Appreciation" from the current Lions District Governor for his 61 years of service.

Roy married his lifelong partner Priscilla "Jean" Clark on August 28, 1971, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah, WI. and has remained a lifelong member. Throughout his retirement years, right up to the present, Roy repaired and serviced older model sewing machines for people in the area.
