The Third Sunday in Advent
Gaudete
Collect of the Day
O Lord Jesu Christ, who at thy first coming didst send thy messenger to prepare thy way before thee: grant that the ministers and stewards of thy mysteries may likewise so prepare and make ready thy way, by turning the hearts of the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, that at thy second coming to judge the world we may be found an acceptable people in thy sight.
From the Parish Office
Greetings. Friday 23 December will be our ‘all hands on deck’ occasion for Church cleaning, decorating and general pre Christmas preparation: 10am onwards up to lunchtime and even if you can only spare an hour you would be most welcome - refreshments will be provided and the heating will be turned up! We also hope soon to publish a calendar of events for 2023 to give plenty of advance notice for your diaries - liturgically Epiphany on 6 January will lead off first, and socially Quiz night then follows on 18 February - but more on both fronts in due course…

With all good wishes,
Fr Andrew Walker
Parish Priest
