Paul Murphy Becomes Interim Pine Knoll Cluster Dean for Winter Term
A former Flagstaff Cluster Dean, Paul Murphy ’84, Instructor in Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science and Coach for Girls Varsity Swimming, has assumed the position of Interim Dean of Pine Knoll Cluster during the Winter Term while Jill Myer, Dean of Pine Knoll Cluster, is on maternity leave. Meyer will return as Cluster Dean in Spring Term. Click here to read about Murphy's transition into the new role.

Notable Increase in Student Migration from Physics 400 to Physics 300
Many Andover students opted to join Physics 300 from Physics 400 during the Fall Term, causing Physics 300 classes to become overcrowded and the creation of a new section. Tess Lagerquist ’24 and Prince La Paz ’24 share their experiences in making the course switch. Click here to read more about the phenomenon.

Tam Gavenas ’25 Qualifies for Champs Sports Cross Country Nationals
On November 26, Tam Gavenas '25 placed ninth at the Champs Sports Northeast Regional held at the Bronx's Van Cortlandt Park. Gavenas was the youngest out of ten from the region to qualify for the National Championship race. Held on December 10 in San Diego, the National Championship will feature the top ten runners from each of the country's four regions. Click here to read more about Gavenas's performance at the Northeast Regionals.

Girls Basketball Wins by 53 Points in Season Opener
On Saturday, Andover Girls Basketball opened its season with a dominant 74-21 victory over Pomfret School. Showcasing an impenetrable defensive line, the team put up 70 points before giving up 10. The win continued the team's three-year win streak against Pomfret and featured the team's entire roster. Click here to read about the team and its game against Pomfret.

“Wingardium Leviosa!”: Andover’s Orchestras Perform in “Harry Potter”-Themed Concert
The annual Family Concert welcomed families with Harry Potter-themed music, goodies, and food. Dressed up as Professor McGonagall and pretending her baton to be a wand, conductor Christina Landolt aimed to engage with younger audience members of the concert. Click here to read more about the Family Concert.

Big Blue Cheer: An Anticipated Addition to Big Blue Spirit
Big Blue Cheer, the newly-founded Andover Cheer team, is bringing more big-blue spirit to campus. Founded by Irene Ledo '24 and coached by Belinda Wolf, the team debuted at the pep rally before the Fall term’s Andover/Exeter Weekend. Click here to read more about the group's progress and challenges so far.
