A lawyer or law student is more than just their practice area, how many trials they’ve won, or their class rank. A lawyer is a person first, embodying a multitude of characteristics and experiences that make them who they are. Our panel will discuss how their personal identity impacts their professional identity, and how to not lose sight of one’s individuality throughout an often traditional legal profession.
Panelists:
Brittany Barrient, Associate General Counsel, Vexcel Imaging
Alexi Freeman, Assoc. Dean of DE&I & Director of Social Justice Initiatives, University of Denver Sturm College of Law
Allison Woolston, Senior Vice President & General Counsel, Caerus Oil & Gas LLC

Considering how much we use our brains in the legal profession, it behooves us to know more about them. For example, the brain is 73% water, and it only takes 2% dehydration to affect attention, memory and other cognitive skills. Also, when we attempt to multitask, we decrease our attention span, learning, performance, and short-term memory. Moral of the story? Stay hydrated, and pay attention to one thing at a time!
