With Christmas almost upon us, pray the words of Mary's Magnificat in Luke 1:46-55 and rejoice in all God has done for us through the gospel of Christ. 

Worship AND PRODUCTION
Please pray for health and strength for the worship and production teams. This is a busy time of year as they rehearse and work through all the details for the Christmas Eve services. Pray that God would be honoured in every detail of the preparations.

Preaching
As we look at the fulfillment of the prophecy concerning Jesus' return from Egypt to his hometown in Matthew 2:19-23, pray that we will all grasp the implications of the coming of the Messiah. Pray for my preparation this week as I study the Word and write the manuscript. Pray for the Spirit of God to be in every aspect of this and that we will all be changed.

First Impressions

Pray for the families of the volunteers who support our ministries. Ask the Lord to renew these families every weekend as they commit one or more people to service.

Rest is a part of the intentional cycle of small group life. So is celebration. Groups will have time for both as we conclude this month. Pray that God is honoured in the time people take away from group commitments this month.

CONGREGATIONAL Care
Please be praying for the Soul Care ministry during this time of transition. Pray for Steph as she finishes her time here at Harvest and moves into her full-time position at the Covey Wellness Centre at the end of the month. Pray for the BSC team, as well, that God would lead us as we make decisions for the future of this ministry.

Please pray for our upcoming weekend winter retreats! Our theme this year is: "Pursue" from John 17:3. Pray that as we seek the Lord's presence, power, passion and provision that the Lord would open the eyes and hearts of our students to see the light of the gospel in a new way this year!

Children's Ministry

Harvest Kids: This is a tough season for some families. Please pray for the presence of our faithful and powerful God to be evident in hearts and homes. Pray that families find the hope and joy only found in Jesus. May he be their ever present help in time of need.

Awana: Pray that all of our families will find their way to a service this Christmas season, with hearts ready to hear the good news of God's gracious gift to us.

The Northern Collective Church (Whitehorse, YT) - Pray for this church as it seeks to spread the gospel throughout the Yukon. Pray for members of the congregation who are facing different health challenges. Pray for a family whose husband is in jail, but would like to learn more about God and the Bible. May God use the congregation to reach this family and many others who are facing challenging circumstances and do not have hope in Jesus Christ.
