Corey Dewey, Social Services and Outreach Director will talk about the many programs and services available to families and individuals living in Elk Grove Township.
From a food pantry to a mobile dental clinic, Elk Grove Township helps people with a variety of needs.
When the snow is falling, it is time to get cozy with a book or movie. Come in and see what you might find!

Homebound Delivery
Are you homebound and unable to come to the Library? Let us bring the Library to you! The library provides free delivery of Library materials to Elk Grove Village residents and registered cardholders who are physically unable to come to the Library due to disability or illness. Please call Chris at 847-725-2160 to request homebound delivery.

Tap into your full creative potential by learning interesting and useful skills, from 3D printing to cutting vinyl decals, or drop in for Open Shop with your own project.

Let’s learn Blender together, an hour at a time. We’ll follow the popular “Donut Tutorial” from YouTube to learn some of the basics of this powerful open-source 3D modeling tool.
Design and cut a vinyl screen printing template so you can permanently ink custom t-shirts or tote bags by the dozen. Bring a clean, blank t-shirt in your choice of size, cut, and color.
This advanced class will help you understand how “the cloud” works by showing you how to set up a web server and serve a page using Ubuntu Linux and Oracle VirtualBox.
Design a simple one-color decal that you can cut out and stick on your window, laptop, or iron onto a t-shirt using Inkscape and the Cricut cutting plotters.
Youth Services will offer in-person, virtual, and take home kit programs in January. Some programs require registration. Check our website calendar and Facebook Page for details and updates. Program formats, days, and times are subject to change.

Come for an afternoon of LEGO with Brickology! It will be filled with collaborative building and free-build fun. Mark your calendar and sign up for this fun school day-off event!
Drop by the library to make a simple craft on your own or with the help of a parent/caregiver. The craft will be available in Youth Services, while supplies last.
The Heroes of Hesiod offers a taste of Dungeons & Dragons® in one fast-paced, action-packed game for kids who want to learn the fundamentals and participate in this popular role-playing series.
Read to the Dog
Grades 2-8 without parent/caregiver
Let's investigate with STEM! This class combines a little bit of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math with a whole lot of fun! Hands-on activities for inquisitive minds!
Kids on the Board Grades 2-5 without parent/caregiver
A basic knowledge of piece movements is recommended. Students will learn about controlling the center, taking the initiative, and attacking in combination.
Join us for after-hours gaming and snacks! Ages 12 and up. Permission slips are required for those under 18. Slips are available at the Computer Monitor desk.
Meet once a month to discuss books, movies, and everything in between. Pizza and drinks provided. Copies of the book will be available at the Youth Services Desk. Register to reserve your spot.
How well do you know trivia? Test your knowledge in our online trivia game. Register by 9 am on the day of this event to participate. Play any time between 11 am-3 pm for a chance to win!
