This new policy is aimed at ensuring positive behavior at all athletic contests and is now in effect for Heuvelton Central School District, and all Section X school districts, as of the first scrimmage of the 2022 Winter Sports Season. Reminder: Early Dismissal on Dec. 22

A reminder that Thursday, Dec. 22 there will be an early dismissal for students at 12 p.m. for the purpose of staff development. Thank you!

In case of inclement weather

As the snowy months approach, the Heuvelton CSD would like to remind you how you will receive notice if school will be operating under a delay or will be closed due to inclement weather. If a snow day is called, students should not report to school (remote or otherwise).

As always, we will contact you if there are any changes in the daily school schedule. Information will also be posted on our website and shared with local media outlets. Please contact hcscommunications@heuvelton.k12.ny.us to register with Parent Square if you would like to receive district messages.

Please remember, neighboring districts have differing needs and challenges and may decide to offer remote instruction on snow days. Although some districts may choose to provide instruction remotely instead of closing school, the often unpredictable nature of inclement weather can negatively impact our ability to deliver high-quality remote instruction on short notice.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your student’s building principal.

Turkey Disguise Contest

Turkey disguise winnersWe hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving celebration! Ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, the Heuvelton PTA challenged the students at HCS to disguise a turkey so it “would not end up on the Thanksgiving dinner table.”

The students used their imaginations to create some truly amazing disguises. Each classroom voted for a favorite within their own room. From there, all Pre-K-6 students voted on their top favorites from the elementary levels.

Pictured are the top three elementary winners: 1st place, Makenna Chase (Starbucks Turkey); 2nd place, Jaxon Bailey (Firefighter Turkey); and 3rd place: Ian Liscum (LeBron James Turkey).
