A year ago we announced our inaugural animal photojournalism fellowship: an exciting chance for 1-on-1 mentoring with WAM founder Jo-Anne McArthur, support from the WAM team, and $6,400 to cover project and equipment costs. Seb Alex has completed his 8-month fellowship and we chatted with him about his investigations of a half-dozen animal industries across Indonesia.
We launch our second Fellowship in early 2023 - stay tuned!

Would you like to help us tell animal stories and receive a beautiful signed print that you might gift this holiday season?
For a donation of $100 or more, you can choose between one of six brilliant images taken by our founder, Jo-Anne McArthur, or a lovely photo taken by our recent Animal Photojournalism fellow Seb Alex. Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, donations will be matched up to $10,000! Thanks to so many of you we're almost halfway there at $5,500.
These 8" X 10" non-reflective deep matte prints are perfect for framing. Jo will personally sign her print(s) and all funds raised will contribute to our global investigative work in 2023.
After making your donation, we'll be in touch with you directly to ask you which print(s) you’d like. By ordering, not only will you receive a beautiful print, you’ll double your impact in bringing visibility to hidden animals. Thank you so much for your support.

This beautiful pig lives in a sanctuary in Germany called Lasst die Tiere leben, which means “let the animals live”. The sanctuary is at the site of a previous factory farm, reminding us of how exploitative spaces can be transformed. Seb Alex. (This photo comes unsigned.)
