VR VIMO a top proven mainstay

VR VIMO is now back in our sexed semen & conventional inventory and as the top proven bull in the breed with Nordic Total Merit (NTM) now of +33. Note: he has risen by 2 NTM points with the major proof run in November. He now has 1,490 daughters in 793 herds that confirm his outstanding yield index of 118.
Also, VR VIMO saw improved milk volume (+4 points) to 102 and with an especially high fat PTA (122). His daughters have +.32% more fat content than herdmates.

VR VIMO complements his high production with a 120 Udder index—the highest among the active proven bulls. He’s especially top-rated in udder depth (116), makes daughters with longer teats (116) and correct teat placement. VR VIMO has daughters with more frame (122), which means a better match when used with Montbeliarde and Holstein for ProCROSS. He improves metabolic feed efficiency, too.

VR VIMO is seeing high demand globally and with heavy use in ProCROSS. Daughter reports from the UK have been especially impressive as the VIMO’s can easily keep pace with their older herdmates on production.

THREE NEW POLLED & A2 OFFERINGS

VR BOGAR P is a +23 NTM bull with a 111 Production index. Half his daughters are polled! Maintain late-lactation production with BOGAR P; his daughters will have a lot of persistency (116). They also are expected to be feed efficient (119) and with sound hoof health (121). BOGAR P is a bull that will fit robot herds well: Udder index of 109 and with long teats (113) and a bit more rear teat width (92). Fast milking speed (117), too.

VR BOGAR P’s dam completed 3 lactations with an average of 25,353 pounds and 2,165 pounds of solids. BOGAR P is available in both sexed and conventional semen.

VR HARIS P comes in with a +24 NTM and yield index of 118. He improves milk volume (106) and increases fat% and protein% while doing it! Haris P brings high marks for udder composite of 117 now in November—an improvement from his last proof. Feet & legs composite at 111, and an udder health improver (111), too. Available sexed or conventional.

VR VOIMA P rounds out this group of new polled bulls and has an NTM of +23. We like him for ProCROSS matings with his high production PTAs (107 milk, 115 fat, and 117 protein pounds). Also, he increases frame size and width (126) and improves udders (111). All this combined, his daughters will be long-lasting cows (114 longevity). Available in conventional semen.

VR HUNKEN – A SPECIAL NEW RELEASE

VR HUNKEN is a bull to check out if improved components, hoof health, longevity, feet & legs, and udders are all a part of your breeding goal. VR Hunken is +29 NTM. He makes cows with reduced stature but maintains width and body condition.

HUNKEN comes from a proven maternal line where his dam just began second lactation after producing 1,874 pounds of fat+prot in first lactation. His granddam is now in her 5^th lactation. HUNKEN’s four closest dams have produced over 4% protein! Both sexed and conventional semen is available.

VR FROGGY

VR FROGGY is available in conventional semen and is a good buy considering his +28 NTM, 114 yield index, and 114 for udders. Note that he specializes in genetics for efficient milk—a reduction of fluid volume with very high fat% (143) and protein% (137). This translates to an increase of +.55% fat! FROGGY is also an improver of udder health (118), milking speed (110), and feet and legs (119).

VR VISKI

VR VISKI is a son of popular proven bull, VR VILPERI. Take a look at VISKI for the top available udder index at 122. He is especially strong for fore udder (118) and udder depth (126), so its no surprise these daughters will last in your herd with longevity of 114. In the new November proofs, VISKI is now raised to +28 NTM. Expect fertile cows and excellent udder health from VISKI. Now available in conventional semen.
