"When we see the classroom as a place where teacher and student can share their 'inner light' then we have a way to glimpse who we are and how we might learn together."

Dear Bradley Community,
We hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This coming week we will be led by the 5th graders during morning assembly. Please read below for some brief updates!
This week our students were hard at work. Our fourth graders are learning about natural disasters and specifically volcanoes. First graders are working hard to build their foundational literacy skills and working on using the suffix “s” and pluralization. Our Pre-K students are working on naming and describing familiar two-dimensional shapes. Our fifth graders are building knowledge in Humanities of Navajo, Pueblo, and Apache people. We are thrilled with the progress our students are making academically and socially. We have seen incredible strides and excited to see the joy our students are experiencing as they see their limitless potential! Thank you to our families and staff for your hard work and support of our learners.
We have launched a new website for the Bradley School – www.bradleyelementaryschool.com. One of the new Features is a “Meet Team Bradley” section. This week, Mr. Ben posted an interview with ! Check out the new site and please let us know if you have any questions or feedback about the new platform. We will add staff interviews weekly so you can learn more about our team of educators.
We are hoping to hear from families about their experience with our current provider, Geskus. Please fill out this quick survey to give us more information as we consider who to work with in the future.
Please consider donating gently used uniform shirts and pants that your students have outgrown to Nurse Brady here at the Bradley School. There are a variety of occasions when a supply of extra clothing on hand is helpful including accidents and wet weather.
We are fortunate to welcome New England College of Optometry (NECO) to the Bradley School again for state mandated Vision Screenings. Please CLICK HERE to access the schedule. Parents may contact the nurse, Jackie Brady, with any opt out requests: Jbrady3@bostonpublicschools.org (617) 635-8422.
We have two more parent info sessions this year for prospective families. The next one is on December 8th at 11 AM and will be virtual (LINK). The final info session is on January 17th at 3 PM. Please spread the word to families in the community who are interested in learning more about the Bradley. If there are some parents interested who would like to set up a 1:1 tour or meet with me or Carla, please have them email us at ccarney2@bostonpublicschools.org or caranda@bostonpublicschools.org.
Thank you for your continued support and collaboration. Looking forward to seeing all our learners tomorrow!
