The Regular Quarterly Meeting of the Epicor Midwest Users Group was called to order at 9:14 am on October 13, 2022 at the Bloomingdale Golf Club in Addison, Illinois. Calvin Dekker (CodaBears) served as the moderator for opening business.

Agenda Review and New Business

The national EUG stated they are working on a new platform for the web site. The national EUG is a good resource for discounts for Insights, research on topics, and to network with other communities. EpiUsers.Help is also a great resource for finding help on Epicor topics.

Meetings for 2023 are

  • February 16 – virtual
  • April 19 - in person
  • June 15 – virtual
  • September 13 – in person
  • November 16 – virtual

Dues for the in-person meetings have gone up due to increased venue costs.  CodaBears will continue to supply the GoTo Webinar for virtual meetings so that virtual meetings can stay free for everyone.

If you have topic ideas, please send them to fred@codabears.com for inclusion in future meetings.  We are looking for volunteers to be on a discussion panel for finite scheduling at an upcoming meeting!

Round Robin Introductions
We then went round-robin for all members to introduce themselves, share information about their company and products, and share their thoughts on how their business has changed over the past few years.

Our sponsors then had an opportunity to talk about their business.  Our meetings are sponsored by the following companies:

Parttrap provides Ecommerce integration with Epicor providing real-time inventory and pricing in both the B2B and B2C arenas.  Information is pulled from Epicor and enhanced with information stored in Parttrap.  The tool supports multiple languages, multiple platforms (phone, tablet, PC).

EBizCharge is a payment processor providing PCI-compliant ACH, E-check, and credit card processing that integrates directly with Epicor’s cash receipts.  Payment can be taken directly in Epicor, through a branded portal, or via mobile devices.  All integrate back into Epicor.  Customers can make payments via multiple cards, and pay multiple or individual invoices.  Their software is free to use and implement. EBizCharge also integrates with Parttrap for payment integration with the web site.  Video of Epicor integration, video on PCI Compliance.

SourceDay connects to Epicor to facilitate communication between procurement and suppliers with PO Collaboration and Automation.  Information from the supplier is tracked and communicated back to procurement.  Supplier performance can be analyzed based on metrics that you decide.  SourceDay will train the suppliers for you so your overhead is reduced.  SourceDay’s AP integration allows the vendor to send an invoice and SourceDay will perform an automatic 3-way match if possible or send the invoice to a workflow in the case of no match.

Memex has an OEE solution for machine monitoring to track performance without human interaction.  Connects to machines using standard protocols or if a machine doesn’t have a network interface, they offer a board that can interface with the machine to provide monitoring.  Utilizing CodaBridge-Memex, information such as Resources, Resource Groups, Engineering, and Jobs from Epicor flows into Memex and labor information captured in Memex is imported into Epicor.  This streamlines information flow and prevents duplication of data entry between the two systems.
