Tree Lighting Ceremony in Guerneville TODAY!

The Russian River Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to spend the Holidays with us on the River.  We will be kicking off December with our traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony today, Friday, December 2nd between 6 and 8 pm.

A big Thank You goes out to Bill's Taxi Services who generously donated for the purchase of the beautiful 21 foot tall tree!  Thanks also go out to the Monte Rio Fire Dept. who ordered and installed the tree, and to local Jake Hamlin and all of his helpers for decorating the tree, and to Friends of Stumptown Cristina Dry and Jo Crane who have supported this tradition for so many years!
COME ONE, COME ALL!!!
We welcome everyone to come celebrate with us!  We'll have hot chocolate, apple cider, goodies and treat bags for the kids.  Come for the day, check out the unique shops along the river, the great art galleries and restaurants and then join us on the Plaza between 6 and 8 pm for the ceremony.  Take some time away from the usual holiday chaos and make it a river getaway!  Carolers welcome.  Dress warm and we'll see you here, and may have Santa drop by too!!!

In partnership with Sonoma County Tourism Cares, the Russian River Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center invite you to bring donations of new personal hygiene products (brushes, combs, tooth brushes, small or trial size shampoos, conditioners, body wash, soaps, etc.) for our unhoused and in-need Sonoma County residents.  We will have the collection bin on the Plaza for this event.  You can also drop off donations in our office any day of the week during business hours.

Sonoma County Health Officials Announce Freeze Warning

The County of Sonoma is issuing a freeze warning in response to the National Weather Service’s prediction for freezing overnight lows Wednesday night through Monday morning, that could result in snow and black ice. Officials recommend that residents limit time outdoors, as serious medical conditions including hypothermia and frostbite can develop with prolonged cold weather exposure.

The Russian River Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center continues to partner with Sonoma County Tourism Cares and other local Chambers of Commerce on a personal hygiene products donation drive:
Sonoma County is home to thousands of unhoused residents. For many, access to personal hygiene products is a continuous struggle. Most needed items are combs, brushes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, lip balm, deodorant, razors, feminine hygiene products, body soap, and shampoo, and small bottles or travel sizes are more portable for this community.  To participate, please bring your donations to the Russian River Visitor Center  Office.  We will also be bringing the collection box to our Annual Member Meeting, the upcoming Tree Lighting, Parade of Lights, and other events, and have decided to offer the collection bin for your evening events (after 5 pm weekdays, and 4 pm weekends) to make it more convenient for our community to participate.  Please reach out to Barbie Beaudette at (707) 869-9000 or by email for help in arranging a donation or to arrange to use the bin to support the success of this drive, or other questions.
