Happy New Year!!!!
Did you know that service and giving has many benefits? It feels SO good. It’s good for your health too, easing depression and anxiety. Endorphins are released that can help your immune and nervous system. Did you know there is a “helpers high” that shows up on an MRI of your brain. One of my favorite quotes is “There is no better exercise for your heart than reaching down and lifting someone up.”
This month our Happenings will be on ZOOM. Even if it’s cold or snowing you can be with us and no worries about traffic or getting up early. It’s on Monday, January 9 at 7pm. As always you must register at https://rotary7255.org/event/zoom-happenings/
We are very excited about May 20th – Rotary Day of Service. It’s an opportunity to promote Rotary to our communities, it’s an opportunity to attract new members, it’s an opportunity to raise funds, and so much more. There are more than 12,500 Rotarians participating. IMAGINE if every club in our district, on May 20, did a service project or partnered with other clubs to do a project and invited the community to join in. IMAGINE the impact.
YOU are our Rotary community, and I am constantly inspired by your dedication to service. It is a pleasure to be a part of our journey as Rotarians and I can't wait to see all that you will accomplish in the coming year.
