This Week - The Basics

Saturday, Dec 3

Grades 6-12:  8:30a-12:30p in COTS Cafe. Sell Hot Donuts & Coffee. Raise money for mission trip to Minnesota (which is for youth in grades 7 & up)
All Ages: 9a-12p in the Great Hall, Cafe, Room 100. Advent Festival! Details below.
 

Sunday, Dec 4

Grades 6-7:  11a-12p in Room 204 - New Series! Shake It Up. (We may end up in Rm 224 if 204 is too cold.)
Grades 9-12:  11a-12p in Sr Youth Room 207 - New Series! Messy Christmas.
Explorers:  9:30a-12p Meet in Jr Youth Room 097. Pick up in the Sanctuary.
Explore Parents: 9:30-10:30a Meet in Room 100 (across from COTS Cafe) for conversation. 

Advent Festival!


   Who:  For everyone! Little kids, big kids, youth, young adults, less-young adults, FRIENDS, neighbors, random people you see at the coffee shop. Bring folks with you!

   What:  It's a get-ready-for-Christmas type of event. And it's all for a good cause.
       Fair trade and local vendors
       Donuts & Coffee mission trip fundraiser (text Curt to sign up!)
       Live Christmas music
       Create a family ornament
       And...the United Women in Faith COOKIE WALK!!!
  YOUTH - SIGN UP to help serve Hot Donuts & Coffee by texting Curt. Everyone who helps gets a portion of the money raised towards their mission trip fundraising. We could use a couple of adults, too. (We're going to the Twin Cities in Minnesota!)
 
   When:  Saturday, Dec 3, 9a-12p. (Youth servers needed 8:30a-12:30p. We could use a couple of adults, too!)

   Where:  In the Great Hall of the church, room 100, and COTS Cafe

   Why:   To feel great about the gifts we are buying, to raise money for great causes, and to have a great time together.

Sunday - The Details

 
   What (Grades 6-7):  11a-12p in Room 204 (over the COTS Café). We're starting a NEW SERIES and want you there! We hear about Joy a lot this time of year. What if Joy was a thing even when things aren't going great?
   What (Grade 8):  9:30a-12p. Meet in the Jr Youth Room 097 & pick up in the Sanctuary. We'll gather for conversation first and then head to worship. Explore Parents: We're gathering this week 9:30-10:30am! Meet in Room 100 (across from the COTS Cafe). We'll have a discussion guide ready to roll. Hope you can make it!
 
   What (Grades 9-12):  11a-12p in Sr Youth Room 207 (over the parlor). Does Joy=Happiness? What do our circumstances have to do with experiencing Joy? 
 
   When:  Sunday, Dec 4, times as indicated

   Why:   So we can grow in our faith to act on our faith.    How:   Complete the COTS Kids & Youth Registration & Med Info form for this school year.

What is COTS Youth?

COTS Youth is our ministry for youth in grades 6-12. We're at Church of the Saviour United Methodist and meet most weeks for youth group or to serve others.  Learn about all the ways to get involved at cotsumc.org/grow/#youth.
