December Roundtable

We will culminate our scouting year this Thursday, December 8.

In our continued effort to move the RT location to allow more of you to attend, this RT will be held at T-425 - Zion Lutheran - 226 Corley Mill Rd., Lexington.  We will begin at 6:30 pm.

This month, we will enjoy the holidays with a Chili Cook-off and desserts!  Please bring your favorite chili and share and enjoy desserts brought by our OA Chapter as their meeting merges with the district RT.

Come meet someone new and see some of your old friends too! Everyone is welcome at a RT!

Our last Tschitanek Woakus chapter meeting of the year is being held in conjunction with the Roundtable next Thursday, Dec. 8. We are asking OA members to bring a dessert / sweet of some kind to coincide with the Chili Cook-off and Toy Drive! Please join us @ 6:30 pm at Zion Lutheran (T-425 Scout Hut), 226 Corley Mill Rd. in Lexington.

Fall Family Fun Fest

A huge thank you to all who contributed in any way to our Fall Family Fun Fest. We had over 700 people in the community come out to experience the fun we put together. We had a handful of units represented and while we wish more of you could have been there with your youth to showcase the fun we have, those able to be there did a great job representing our district and all of scouting!

We had multiple people tell us they were led to join scouting by our event and others let us know how much this event meant to them both last year and when they returned this year, so what we are doing is working! We will have a date soon for next year's event in Nov. 2023 and our goal is to have ALL units represented and there to help show the community what we are all about!

Awards

The Indian Waters Council has a new Award Nominations Portal on its website to access nomination forms and submit them electronically. Information and forms for the Silver Beaver Award, Alumnus of the Year Award, and NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award can be accessed there and ALL nominations are due by December 18th. You can also view a list of all past recipients of each of these awards on that site!

The Award Nominations Portal also has forms for the NESA Eagle Scout Project of the Year Award (nominations due by January 31st) and the District Award of Merit (deadlines vary by district). Please visit and consider nominating a worthy recipient!

It is never too early to register for our upcoming 2023 camp season!
