Competition Closes December 16, 2022 | Institutional Deadlines Vary 


The Alberta SPOR SUPPORT Unit Graduate Studentship in Patient-Oriented Research offers a stipend of $30,000 to Alberta-based Master's and Doctoral students. Recipients also participate in a year-long supplemental training program to develop skills and integrate patient-oriented research approaches in their thesis projects.

2. Office of Spread and Scale Implementation Science Discussion Group

Once a month, the Office of Spread and Scale hosts an online discussion group that provides an opportunity for people to discuss a key topic or paper with peers and experts in the field of implementation science. No experience or expertise in implementation science is necessary. The next IS discussion group is happening on Dec 7th from 11-11:45 am MT! Dr. Jodi Summers Holtrop will go over implementation science strategies in planning for sustaining interventions.

3. KT Canada Seminar Series

5. Specialist Knowledge Translation Training
January 18-20, 2023 | Virtual | 8:00 am - 12:30 pm MT


Registration is now open for the January 18-20, 2023 Specialist Knowledge Translation Training (SKTT) workshop, offered by the Knowledge Translation Program at The Hospital for Sick Children. SKTT was developed on the premise that scientists, practitioners, educators, health promoters and others are agents of change in creating impact, promoting research utilization, and ensuring that evidence reaches the appropriate audiences. The course fee is $650.00 CAD, which includes course materials, tools, and access to our online collaborative platform.

7. Addressing Readiness and the Impacts of COVID-19 During Implementation

The Effective Implementation Cohort is a project of the National Implementation Research Network (NIRN). The EIC is a project designed to help School districts implement an instructional system that supports using a high-quality middle school math curriculum. In collaboration as part of the Effective Implementation Cohort, join the NIRN, Achievement Network, and Atlanta Public Schools as they share how they addressed staffing shortages and turnover during initial implementation.

8. 15th Annual Conference on The Science of Dissemination and Implementation in Health
December 11-14, 2022 | Washington, DC

This year's theme, ‘(Re)Building Better Systems: Being Proactive, Nimble, and Responsive,’ will build upon lessons learned about rapidly changing community health and clinical settings to envisioning new models for conducting dissemination and implementation science that respond to the shifting needs of diverse systems and populations, and use flexible and rigorous methodologies to anticipate challenges and ongoing change. This will be a vaccine-required event.

9. Certificate in Implementation Science

Through a combination of virtual didactics, experiential learning, and mentorship, the Penn Implementation Science Certificate Program will equip the next generation of early career colleagues with the knowledge and skills needed to conduct rigorous, contextualized, and meaningful implementation research. Ideal for scholars interested in developing competencies in implementation science for application to future research endeavours. 10. Implementation Research Institute Training Program

The Implementation Research Institute (IRI) is a unique interdisciplinary training program that will help participants launch a research career in implementation science. Applications are open to ambitious Ph.D. or M.D. investigators, with demonstrated experience and enthusiasm in the study of mental health services, who wish to conduct groundbreaking research in implementation science.

The Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) Institute for Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis (IMHA) has launched its Inclusive Research Excellence Prizes competition. Through this competition, IMHA supports further research and knowledge mobilization activities for eligible applicants and recognizes fundamental knowledge creation, multiple ways of knowing, non-traditional research methods, and outputs. CIHR will be hosting a webinar on January 17th to support participants with the requirements of this opportunity.

16. Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Health Equity and Children's Pain

Dr. Christine Chambers and Dr. Kathryn Birnie are recruiting a Post-Doctoral Fellow who has an interest in health equity and children’s pain. The Fellow would be based in the Centre for Pediatric Pain Research at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with opportunities for collaboration with Solutions for Kids in Pain (SKIP), a national knowledge mobilization network whose mission is to improve children's pain management by mobilizing evidence-based solutions through coordination and collaboration.
