PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
100 YEARS OF GLENDALE ART ASSOCIATION!
This will be a special meeting/party to celebrate the 100 years that Glendale Art Association has been in existence. We will be having Porto's foods, and veggie, fruit, and cheese trays to share. We will be having our annual paint around where everyone gets a chance to try their hand at oils, acrylics and watercolors. And if you would like to participate in the holiday gift exchange, please bring a wrapped gift (no labels, $12 limit) and you will receive a ticket for the raffle. This will be a very busy meeting as we will also have our mini-show if we have at least 8 entries.
Thank you again for your help with figure drawing to Mina Ho Ferrante. We got some valuable tips for drawing.
We are finishing the Call For Art for our GAA March show, "NATURE RENEWS" at the Makery at 260 S. Los Angeles St., Los Angeles, CA. 90012. This will be open to area artists and not just GAA Members. The CFA will be published in our January newsletter.
The McGroarty Arts Center has invited us to have a show there next Summer. Details to be developed in January or February.

Member news
1. George S. will be teaching painting classes in Panama, starting in Feb., for 6 weeks. He has also been commissioned to paint a portrait of Walt Disney and one of the head writers by Disney. Congrats!
2. Donna Barnes Roberts will be offering a new January Watercolor Wow! class, and you can sign up now at www.barnesroberts.com
3. Diane M. C. participated in the Toluca Lake Holiday Festival and sold a few small art works.
4. Charlene N. will participate in a ceramic sale at the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge, 4469 Chevy Chase Dr. , CA 91011 (credit cards only) on December 10th & 11th from 10am to 4pm (Saturday & Sunday).
5. Helena B. and Vivianne B. each have a piece of art in Marsha Ramos' show "Together Against Hate" at the Geo-Gallery as part of Burbank Human Relations Council. Reception: Dec. 11th, 2 - 4pm. 1545 Victory Blvd, Glendale, CA, near Riverside Dr.
