Final events for LFF in 2022

The Lebanese Film Festival is wrapping up in December with two final film events in Sydney and Melbourne: 

Sydney

🍿 Saturday, 3 December at 6.00pm. HOYTS Bankstown. EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. An Australian production by Lebanese-Australian film maker, Nadi Sha. The film will include a director Q&A Session after the film. Click here for tickets.

“Everything in Between” is a modern Australian drama. The story is about one family’s dysfunction and specifically what transpires between a pair of unlikely friends. A young teen grapples with mental illness and existential angst while his parents remain oblivious.

AL HAYBA THE MOVIE, NATIONAL RELEASE

Al Hayba continues for its seventh week in cinemas, with evening screenings at Bankstown and Broadmeadow. If you haven't seen the film yet, don't miss out!

Based on the popular Al Hayba series, the movie is a drama of hostages, murder and tit for tats. The murderer of Jabal’s father, is spotted alive in Bulgaria. Jabal heads a fierce hunt passing by Bulgaria and Istanbul, with the aim to bring Nazem back to justice to Al Hayba. The film stars Taim Hasan, Mona Wassef, Said Serhan, Rafic Ali Ahmad, Mohammad Akil.

WHERE CAN I WATCH LEBANESE FILMS AFTER THE FESTIVAL?
 
🍿 UNDER THE CONCRETE on SBS, is a French production by Lebanese director, Roy Arida. As Beirut goes through a series of Car Bombings, Alain decides to try to break the world scuba diving record. The film is a drama and is in French and Arabic. 

🍿 AL HAYBA Seasons 1-5, Netflix/Shehid. Get into the hit series this summer with five seasons of Al Hayba. See how the Sheikh El Jabal family grow and change over time. Set in the fictional Lebanese-Syrian border town of Al Hayba. Seasons 1-5 are on Shehid, whilst Seasons 2, 3 and 4 are available on Netflix.

🍿 WANTED, on Netflix. Directed by Nibal Arakji, Wanted is a comedy film about four seniors who embark on a breakout of their aged care home to save a loved ones grave from being dug up by developers.
