Destinations Detours and Dreams December 2022

Behind The Scenes

Winter has arrived in my part of the world. I look out my window to snow covered yards. It's back to parkas, boots, and winter driving.

November was spent close to home. I've experienced a bit of envy seeing photos and posts from travelling friends, family, and acquaintances, but I've also been very happy to enjoy the comforts of my home and spend time with nearby friends and family.

A Peek Ahead

I don't have much in the way of upcoming plans to tell you about. My schedule for December includes visits to a couple of places in my home city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada I haven't yet been to. However, I should note that my plans are easily disrupted these days. If the visits happen as per schedule, you may see a blog post or two come out of it.

I am also looking forward to the opening of The Leaf, an indoor horticultural attraction at Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada where visitors will journey through four distinct biomes. The Leaf is opening on December 3, 2022. The outdoor gardens around The Leaf opened in July 2021. You can read the blog post I wrote about those gardens here.

I expect to take a bit of a break from the blog in the latter part of December and pick it back up in the new year.
