Food Bank Stories Webinar Recording

On December 6, state employees joined together via Zoom to hear food bank stories from Emergency Food Bank, Fort Bragg Food Bank, and Feeding America Riverside/San Bernardino!  A big thank you to Leonard Hansen, Angela Dominguez, and Jackie Arias for taking the time to share about their work!

"In 2019 we served 124,919 families. Last year for the entire calendar year we served 235,902. We hit that number in September of this year. ... We have also expanded over the last three years into a couple areas we had not been in before that have been very successful for us. ... In August of 2020 we were approached by 211 Family Services to take on Door Dash deliveries for shut-ins in Stockton. We took on 35 families and got a food box to them every week. That number has continued to grow and we have found ways to fund the program. This last Tuesday, we served 900 families by Door Dash." - Leonard Hansen, Emergency Food Bank
