Here are some things I'd like to share with you from the past week:

More internationally educated family doctors are on the way
Too many people in B.C. don’t have access to a family doctor, and we’re working to change this. More internationally-trained doctors can get licenced to work in B.C. sooner. New associate physician roles are being made that will allow some international medical graduates to work under another doctor’s supervision right away.
This means more people will have access to the necessary health care, and healthcare workers will have extra support in hospitals and clinics.

New, enhanced mental-health, substance-use services in place for B.C. young people
When young people make the courageous decision to come forward and get help, it’s important there are supports to meet them. 33 New and expanded substance-use programs, supported by approximately 130 new healthcare workers, specifically for young people. This increase in resources means more young people will be able to access the supports they need closer to home.

New tools help students better understand consent
Schools play a vital role in supporting students to learn about healthy sexual relationships and the importance of consent in all aspects of their lives. We’re ensuring educators have the tools to teach consent and prevent gender-based violence in schools.

Economical update shows B.C. is well-positioned amid economic uncertainty
Many people in our riding are struggling with higher everyday costs due to global inflation. But our government is here to support people. Recent report confirms that we can continue helping people through financial challenges while maintaining and improving the services we all need such as housing, public safety, health care and building a sustainable economy.
