MCAAP Immunization Initiative Webinar Series:
Trial and Error in Undoing Vaccine Misinformation
in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community

Join the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (MCAAP) for a webinar on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 12:00 ET titled Trial and Error in Undoing Vaccine Misinformation in the ulta-Orthodox Jewish Community.  Blima Marcus and Tobi Ash, Co-Founders of the EMES Initiative, will be presenting.  The EMES (Engaging in Medical Education and Sensitivity) intiative is a nonprofit organization founded by a group of dedicated, concerned, and highly educated nurses. EMES began in response to the measles outbreak in the ultra Orthodox Jewish community of New York City and New York State and the recognized need for increased health literacy in the Orthodox Jewish community.  The nurses of EMES recognize the value of health education, promotion, and prevention.

This fascinating and timely presentation is relevant to all adult and pediatric vaccine providers working with vaccine hesitant populations, particularly those in insular communities.
