It's true. I'm retiring! Can you believe it?

After over forty years of practicing law I have decided to ease out.

From a practical standpoint, these are the nuts and bolts of this transition and what it means for you.

The first step happened in 2019 when I became “Of Counsel” to Schneider and Bartelmie Law Corporation. Since then, all of my clients have had access to three other attorneys and have been able to turn to them when I am not available. In the years since I became Of Counsel, many of you have had the opportunity to meet and work with members of the Schneider and Bartelmie team here at our office in Los Gatos.  

Patrick Bartelmie is one of the Shareholder-Attorneys at Schneider and Bartelmie Law Corporation. He and I have been working together since 2018 and Patrick has over twelve years of experience practicing law in the area of Trusts and Estates. This longstanding professional relationship has given me the opportunity to work directly with Patrick for five years now. Because of this, I am confident that when I turn over my files to him, as of December 31, 2022, you will be in excellent hands.


What does this mean for you?

It's very simple.

All of my files are electronic. Each client has received his or her original documents and a copy in a binder. If you wish to take your file to another attorney, please let us know.  Otherwise you do not have to take any action.

Over the years we've seen ups, downs, and things that went completely sideways in life. Together, we navigated it all. 

They say that change is the one "constant" in life. It's true. As I pass the torch to Patrick Bartelmie, it is both exciting and bittersweet. Thank you for choosing to put your trust (and estates) in my hands. Accidental pun intended.
