When Was The Last Time

Here’s to another amazing holiday season, so why not treat yourselves to a much needed, and well deserved baecation? You’ve been putting off time together, away, for far too long! In fact, I’m going to share with you 5 benefits of attending a couples retreat aka a baecation!

You Meet Like-Minded Couples
When you get into a committed relationship or get married it seems to be more difficult to meet other couples that are a good “fit”. Your relationship is one that must be protected at all costs, so it matters who you allow into your space. Meeting other couples at a couple’s retreat can help solve the “friend finding” dilemma. It was so rewarding to watch the friendships form at this year’s retreat, especially for the men!
Environment Change
Have you ever heard about people that change their bedroom or living rooms around every so often to change the energy around? I think about this when it comes to my marriage. Being able to get way from the home can give a change in perspective, clear the mind, and create a shift in emotions. Being in the same space trying to resolve a recurring issue may add to the problem, so come on and get away!
New Memories
Create new memories: New places create new opportunities to explore and do things that you would not normally do at home or at your weekly local bar crawl. You’d be surprised what you can learn about each other by just changing the scenery; the adventure, the openness, the fearlessness that can come when you are away from the norm. As long as you are married, you will forever create firsts together that will become cherished memories for life!
New Communication Styles
Our retreats are riddled with activities, all of which have a purpose. For every activity that you engage in, you are getting a new form of communication. To have an experienced professional at your fingertips to see and hear how you and your partner communicate is priceless.
Sex In New Places
Now this goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway. One of the things that I encourage at our retreats is sexual exploration. This even ties into the creation of new memories! When you are not in the home, you may be more open to trying new things in the bedroom, or the kitchen, or the jacuzzi tub! The whole suite, or balcony, is your oyster!
