CHRA Weekly E-Newsletter
Our weekly email aims to provide you with up to date information on what is happening in and around Cherry Hinton. We have received a number of requests from local residents to provide more information on what the GCP Making Connections is all about.  This week's email gives a focus to the proposals including a meeting in Cherry Hinton and where to find more information, consultation details and petition information.
An invitation to Cherry Hinton Residents
Join Local County & City Councillors at St Andrew's Church Centre between 6pm and 8pm on Tuesday 6th December.  There will be leaflets and information available on the GCP Making Connections Consultation.  Councillors look forward to discussing the Pros, Cons and Myths around the proposals.
Information on the Proposals
If you are looking for more information on the proposals the Greater Cambridge Partnership held an online information evening about its proposals for the south of the city and beyond, and the event is now available to watch on YouTube. Subjects covered include the new 'Making Connections' plans, which include the controversial vehicle charging element, as well as Greenways, Travel Hubs and more. It's very comprehensive and you can find it here.  (With thanks to our colleagues at Queen Edith's for the link).
You can also read more about the work of Greater Cambridge Partnership here which contains even more information on the full proposals.
Consultation Process
If you haven't had an opportunity to give your thoughts you can still take part in the consultation process - You can give your feedback here

Details of an online petition to demand Cambridgeshire County Council offer a Referendum on the Proposed Congestion Charge.  You can access details here

A local resident has contacted e-news to ask if there would be any interest in the following idea...
A summer holiday day out by coach to the seaside or an activity?  The coach would collect from Cherry Hinton in the morning and return in the evening.  It is hoped that some funding could be obtained to keep the cost down for families.  If you would be interested in helping with the event or may like to have tickets for the coach please email chragroup@outlook.com with your interest.  (Emailing does not commit you to anything but will give some idea if there is initial support for the initiative).
