Under 15 Results

Hi Everyone,

We returned to Puahue for Week 8 - the final road race of the current Spoken Cycles Summer Series.    114 riders signed on with congratulations going to Maui Morrison who took out a closely contested A Grade sprint from Carne Groube and Ethan Batt with the three riders sharing a time of 42.21 mins over two laps of the Puahue circuit.

Please find the results attached and points will be updated on our website in the next few days.

A big thank you to the parents who assisted Brian with the U15 programme, our lead car driver, Colin Clifton and to Di Tonks for sorting the race numbers.

A few members (myself included), suffered from Club T-shirt envy once they'd seen the blue tees we issued last week at registration.  I've talked to Jim and he's happy to sort another order.  If you'd like to order, please check out the email or Facebook post from 14th Nov and then reply to this email with colour (either black or blue) and size by Friday 9th Dec.  The t shirts are $35 each.

Congratulations to our riders who competed in the Centre Team Time Trial hosted by the Hamilton Club at Orini on Sunday - results can be found at: https://hamiltoncitycycling.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/WBOP-Team-TT-Results-4-December-2022-2.pdf

A reminder that the Champion Systems Online Store for TASC kit is open until the 12th of December as a few members missed the last cut-off date - this will be the final opportunity to order until mid-February so click the link and get sorted if you need kit:  https://csnzstore.myshopify.com/collections/ta-sports-cycling

Our series wraps up on Tuesday the 13th of December with the Individual Time Trial (approx 12km for Grades and 6km for U15's).  We are returning to our 'usual' TT course with registration and the start/finish area on the corner of Te Rahu and Preston Rd (side road approx. 500 metres from the cemetery) in TA.

Registration is from 5 pm until 6.25 pm.  To avoid congestion, we’d ask that members park their cars near the cemetery on Te Rahu Road.   U15’s will start at 5.30 pm and Grades at 6 pm.

We are hosting the Christmas BBQ / Prizegiving at the TA Sports Clubrooms on Albert Park Drive at the conclusion of the Time Trial.  Marcel and his team will sort the BBQ, the bar is open and series winners in each grade will be presented with their prizes.  We'll also run the 8/9 week draw where five lucky winners will receive a free pass to the 2023 Spoken Cycles Summer Series which kicks off on Tuesday 10th of January. To be eligible for all prizes, you need to be a current TASC member or associate member.

Speaking of membership... 2023 Licences are now available.  There are several options available so please read the information carefully and select the option which best suits your needs:

That's about it. - if you have any questions, send me an email and I'll do my best to get you sorted.

Have a great week.

Regards
Melinda
