We are closed these days.  You were not charged so no make ups - yippee!

It is always a good time to learn swimming and water safety.
Assign someone to watch your children near water - even at home!
We have many who are progressing to the competitive team,
proving that persistence pays!

We are collecting new unwrapped legos for
SOS Children’s Village in Boca Raton.
SOS Children’s Villages Florida (SOS) opened in 1993 to care for abused, or children suffering from forms of neglect in South Florida. SOS Boca is home to up to 72 foster children ages birth to 18.
At SOS, special emphasis is placed on keeping biological siblings together to lessen their trauma while separated from their families.

Tip of the Month         
Understand Ocean Awareness
watersafety
Only swim at a beach that is protected by a professional lifeguard.
Use Coast Guard Approved life jackets if not swimming independently continuously.
Adult swim lessons are available and first class is FREE in November!
Your children's caretaker must know how to swim to keep them safe.

Skill of the Month
Paddles
This skill assists forward motion on belly or back!
Children under age 3 will practice reaching until coordinated to bring arms out of the water.  
Advanced swimmers will learn to use their arms properly in all competitive strokes.


Drowning is Preventable 
Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children ages 4 and younger.
Drowning is the second cause of accidental death in children ages 14 and younger.
Reduce the statistics by enrolling in swim lessons.
88% of child drownings occur with at least 1 adult present.

Florida Swim School meets and exceeds Minimum Standards for
Domestic Swim School Membership.
Formal learning is learning that is delivered in a systematic intentional way.
It’s planned and guided by an instructor/trainer.
