CAF Celebrates 16th Anniversary!

CAF celebrated 16 years of service to the community on December 7th! This event was celebrated in Arlington, Virginia with local community and faith leadership, our partners, and generous support from Virginia Housing and M&T lenders. Once more, CAF celebrated another impactful year of service implementing its mission to transform communities through economic and educational empowerment in collaboration with community and faith-based organizations.

CAF Helps Families in Need Celebrate Thanksgiving with Food Distribution

The Thanksgiving season, filled with gratefulness and a sense of fellowship, can be an expensive time for families. To help struggling community members, the church Ministerio Edificando las Familias helped more than 100 families celebrate the Thanksgiving season with their food distribution event on November 23rd. The Upper Marlboro community was greatly blessed by the collaboration of of the pastors of Ministerio Edificando las Familias, CAF, and the donations of Coastal Sunbelt.

CAF CONNECTORS NETWORK has been growing to include faith base organizations in the United States, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. The work of these volunteers is making a difference in the lives of thousands of people by providing needed assistance in health, food and education.

Most First-Time Homebuyer Programs require that applicants complete a pre-purchase homebuying class, after the class participants receive a certificate of completion and have the option to have a one-on-one housing counseling session. CAF is offering monthly classes in Spanish and English to individuals interested in affordable mortgage products, loans that may include assistance for down payment and closing cost.
