Friends —

Sold-out films, smiling faces, neighborhoods full of decent, caring people.  These are just a few of my favorite things. 😎🌈🌎

Seeing our community come together around worthy causes and taking time to laugh together watching a film at The State and The Bijou... I couldn't ask for anything better.  Or could I?  Maybe another Christmas request would be for you to come visit us for the last weekend of Steven Spielberg’s personal masterpiece, The Fabelmans. Nominated for 5 Golden Globes, this really is a movie that needs to be seen in our historic theater.  Yes, that would round out my Christmas list just fine.

The Shop Around the Corner, a beloved classic in the history of cinema, is gracing our Bijou by the Bay this weekend.  This timeless classic features the incomparable Jimmy Stewart alongside Margaret Sullivan in a playful and enduring age-old love story.  Who doesn't want to fall in love at the movies?

Polar Express is our kid's matinee film feature at 10 am this Saturday. This charming and heartwarming movie is for those young and young at heart.  As always, tickets are only $1. Be sure to purchase tickets early as this is a very popular film. It would also be wise to arrive by 9:30 am to get the best seats.

My First Movie!  If it is your youngster's first movie ever in a movie theater, we would love to celebrate with them!  Let one of our helpful volunteers know, and we will create a personalized certificate and button to commemorate their special day!
