Sunday, January 1:
Limited amenities at ALL CENTERS will be open from 5:30am-1pm:
-All pools and spas
-All fitness centers
-All sports facilities (including racquetball--no nets)
-Billiards at East Center, Desert Hills, and West Center
-Table tennis at Canoa Hills, Las Campanas, and West Center
No meeting rooms will be open

Monday, January 2: All centers open 5:30am-9pm. Offices and customer service desks CLOSED.

West Center lobby on Tuesday, January 3 from 8am to 4pm: Landlords, please reach out to your incoming tenants and let them know that this is their best opportunity to receive tenant passes, purchase event tickets, and complete in-person course and tour registration.

Find your fun! Explore the opportunities and learn about 30+ clubs and their activities. Frausto's food truck will be on hand for your (no host) taco needs, and there is a full day of interactive stage presentations planned including a new member orientation. For more events, click HERE

Clubs and Community
 The GVR Michigan Club invites GVR members with Michigan ties to a meal on Wednesday, January 4, 5pm, at West Center. Entertainment will be provided by Back Porch Music, a duo playing hits from the 40s into the 70s. Dinner: All you can eat pizza and salad. $15 non-club-members, $12 club members.  The GVR Computer Club presents The History of Technology by James Ertel - learn about the evolution of information and other technology.  Our monthly meetings are on the first Tuesday of each month at 1:30 PM and are open to all GVR members. NEW LOCATION! Santa Rita Springs Anza Room, Tuesday, January 3, 1:30pm.

 The GVR Camera Club invites GVR members to join us for a week full of exciting events! Check out “Showtime” at the Desert Hills Auditorium on January 9 at 7pm, “Travelogue” in the Anza Room at Santa Rita Springs on January 10 at 7pm, and our monthly membership meeting and Speaker Series event featuring Tucson muralist and artist Jessica Gonzales in the Anza Room on January 12 at 9am.  The GVR Square and Round Dance Club invites GVR and non-GVR members to the Winter 2023 Introduction to square dancing and ice cream social. We have a 2023 candidate slate! The following GVR members in good standing completed applications for candidacy:

A petition process is available for those who missed the application deadline. Introduction to Step Express Class
Come join me in a class to introduce you to step aerobics!  Learn the "basics" of stepping.  A half hour of pure cardio using the Step Platform.  You can also try this class without using the Step Platform as most moves transition quite well without it.  Energetic music and a mix of moves will get your heart pumping! SUPPLIES: Wear closed-toe athletic shoes. Bring water. Drop-in fee $5.

Cardio Pump Introduction
Come join this introduction to Cardio Pump class. This is a barbell class that will tone, sculpt and strengthen your entire body. During the intro you will learn the basic exercise movements to safely work with the barbells. This will enable you to easily transition into the class with confidence.  We work all the major muscle groups with exercise choreography. SUPPLIES: Wear closed-toe shoes. Bring a mat, water. Drop-in fee $7.

 The GVR Arts and Crafts Association invites all members to a "Make 'n Take" presentation on the art of quilling at 1pm, Wednesday, January 4, and Desert Hills. There will also be fleece blankets to tie for Project LINUS. Refreshments will be served. For information, click HERE.
 
 GVR Artisans' Shop Sweet Saturday is back at West Center! The first Saturday of the month means free home-made cookies and a chance to win a hand-crafted door prize. Saturday, January 7, 10am-2pm.

 The BAJA Sporting Club is a Green Valley/Sahuarita/I-19 corridor social/charity/sports club whose members enjoy softball, bowling and golf.  The winter softball season starts January 4 and runs through March with play on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at Canoa Preserve Park.  Contact our BAJA Softball Commissioner Gary Anderson at 520-990-3801.  The bowling season is also starting in January at the Tucson at the Cactus Bowl - there are many incentive perks besides laughter and friends.  Contact our BAJA Bowling Commissioner, Ed Karnes at 520-279-1521 or tet68vn@hotmail.com.
