Dear <<First Name>>,
By making your garden an Urban Wildlife Garden you contribute directly to improving our natural environment. Everything we do to support our natural environment helps the wildlife that depend on it! In your case you are reinforcing the flora that is endemic to your specific area, thereby providing food and habitat for your fauna. Our membership is gradually increasing and is now around 135.
This year has seen a change in our Federal Government and with it positive action to address climate change, and just recently an announcement heralding the introduction of an independent Environmental Protection Agency. So now we can press on with our own Urban Wildlife Garden efforts knowing that we are helping achieve National objectives.
To help you in your efforts we will continue with our workshop program starting in 2023 with ‘Find a Frog in February’. Save the date - 1st February 2023.
I have also been pleased by the reception to our monthly Newsletter with its helpful tips and advice. In 2023 it is hoped to add to the store of information UWG provides you by the publishing of a handbook.
Don’t forget to tell us if there is anything you would like us to cover in future newsletters, or if you have tips to pass on or good ideas for a Members Workshop. Send your ideas by email to uwg@noosariver.com.au
We hope you enjoy a safe and happy seasonal break.
Regards,
Tony Haslam
