With 2023 right around the corner, you still have an opportunity to donate and receive a tax receipt for 2022.

Sadaqa benefits the believer not just in this life but the next. The Prophet (SAW) said “Sadaqah extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire” (Hadith, Tirmidhi).

We urge you to use this opportunity and help us raise $100,000 by Dec. 31, 2022.

  • hosted the biggest Qur'an Memorization contest where over 170 youth participated in the program
  • fostered an environment of learning through Islamic competitions and trivia who winners won prizes totalling over $2,000
  • recruited 164 volunteers who served the community diligently during the month of Ramadan
  • spread the cheer of Eid through hosting 2 Eid bazaars, 2 Seniors Eid events, Sisters Gala, Sisters Youth Gatherings, and Eid festival that was attended by over 3,500 people
  • supported over 100 New Muslims and offered regular programming through mentorship, social gatherings, halaqas and Arabic classes
  • donated hundreds of meals to homeless shelters
  • continued Islamic development and Qur'an programs through offering 6 weekly halaqas
  • worked on Da'waa initiatives such as Doors Open Ottawa and the Multicultural Food Festival during Islamic History Month
  • hosted year long fitness programs for seniors, men, women and youth
  • hosted Intensive Islamic learning programs, for example, the Seerah course and Islamic Marriage Course
  • ...and much more!
We need your support to successfully reintroduce all the programs and services that were halted due to the pandemic. We rely on your incredible support, our beloved community members, to have a strong recovery and prepare for the return to 100% capacity and operations.
Here are important dates to keep in mind for giving donations before the end of this month:

Donating online: the deadline will be midnight on December 31. You can give your gift with a single donation here or a monthly donation here

Donating with interac e-transfer: you can send your e-transfer to info@amacanada.org. If you are a first-time donor, please include your contact info in the note so we can provide you with a tax receipt.

Donating in person: you can donate up until Isha prayers before the masjid closes on Friday, December 31.
