The Church dedicates the month of January to the Holy Name of Jesus. It is also a month when we celebrate the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, the Epiphany of the Lord, and the Baptism of the Lord.
There are three special novenas that are commonly prayed in the month of January:
The Surrender Novena (January 1-9) is a novena intended for offering up to Jesus all of one's problems, worries, needs, etc... entrusting in Him to take them and handle them in accordance with His will. Though this novena can be prayed anytime of the year, we always like to feature it in January in order to start the new year off on a positive note.
The Infant of Prague Novena (January 5-13) is a nine-day prayer devotion and petition to the Child Jesus and His Sacred Heart. The novena concludes on the day before the Feast of the Infant Jesus of Prague (January 14).
The Novena to Our Lady Queen of Peace (January 15-23) is a novena in honor of Mary as the patron saint of peace. This novena is generally prayed leading up to the feast day of Our Lady Queen of Peace (January 24).
Sunday, January 22 is the annual Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children (January 22). For anyone interested, we have a 9 Days For Life Novena (January 13-21) available for days leading up to the Day of Prayer.
