OLIFLY is our top offering for improvement of milk pounds, and is expected to transmit +3,549 more pounds of milk than an average bull within the Montbeliarde breed. He complements this with +119 pounds of fat and +106 pounds of protein = +225 pounds CFP!
OLIFLY is a son of LELABEL, a favorite among purebred breeders and with very satisfying daughters. OLIFLY has an ISU index value of +161 and this ranks him in the top third of the top 1% of the breed.
OLIFLY also improves feed efficiency (+0.7 for DigeR), a relatively new trait launched by Coopex exclusively for the Montbeliarde breed, that is not dependent on a reduction of body size.
Speaking of body size, OLIFLY is average for body composite (103), and with a slight increase in stature (112). With the change to single-step evaluation we saw in April, stature of most bulls increased, so a 112 for stature should not be regarded as extreme.
No holes can be found in his 120 udder proof, and OLIFLY is especially strong on fore udder (123) and adds rear udder width (118).
We recommend this bull for use on your ProCROSS or Holstein heifers, even with conventional semen. He already has 1,982 calvings to prove his score of 95 for sire calving ease and 95 for sire stillbirth. (Recall, 95 is the maximum score for both these traits).
Improved milking speed (113), SCS (+0.8), and fertility (+0.5) are also among his strengths.
OLIFLY has outstanding productive life (+1.7), which can be seen first-hand in his long-lived maternal line. His dam by IMPEC continues to accumulate her lifetime record now at 7 years of age.
