National i-THRIVE Community of Practice December 2022

Round up of this year...

This year, the National i-THRIVE Programme have been working hard to support implementation of the THRIVE Framework for system change across a number of sites around the country. With the move towards Integrated Care Systems, this has included work with much larger geographies than ever before (eg the East of England/ Healthy London Partnership in a pan-London approach to implementation).

We have delivered a range of trainings, engagement events, and workshops to cross-sector professionals, tailored to meet the specific needs of individual contexts. We are excited to have returned to more face-to-face events, and are continuing to provide excellent online webinars and training modules, as well as hybrid modes of delivery. A list of direct support options for local sites can be found on our website here.

The National i-THRIVE Programme have hosted two fantastic Community of Practice Events this year, well-attended by representatives from across the country. Participants found it helpful learning from other sites and highly valued opportunities to share challenges and network across the system.

1) 10/3/22 "AMBIT and Risk Support and Social Prescribing for Children and Young People"

2) 3/11/22 "Supporting Shared Decision Making and Personalised Care through Integrated Front Doors"

Given the energy and enthusiasm from the last sessions, we are planning to deliver the next National event at the end of March 2023, which will hopefully be face-to-face. Based on feedback from attendees, we would like to invite sites to talk about their i-THRIVE implementation journeys, so get in touch if there’s anything you’d like to share. If there are any other areas that you'd like to explore then let us know.

As we are committed to increasing the diversity of our speakers and events, we are particularly keen to offer presenting opportunities and training to those from minority groups. Please get in touch if you would be interested in presenting.

If you would like to express your interest in our next National i-THRIVE CoP event or have any questions for the team, please email

Further Training Opportunities in the New Year

Our Partner Organisation, the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, are offering the below FREE trainings for mental health and education professionals:

Practical approaches to improving mental health and wellbeing support in schools and local areas

CORC have been partners on the HeadStart Programme since its inception. The programme took a ‘test and learn’ approach, and strategic investment from The National Lottery Fund allowed theory, research, and best practice to be applied in interventions and approaches in six local areas.

From these learnings CORC have developed a set of trainings to share with school staff and local leaders of mental health and wellbeing.  Available online and in person across date options.

Local Leaders FREE Training:  Topics covered in the training include: student engagement and voice; supporting parents; multi-agency approaches; working with the wider community; sustaining transformation.  For each theme we will share approaches taken by local partnerships and reflect on their experiences and learning from implementing each type of activity.  Participants will benefit from case examples and practical ideas for interventions, complementing the development of an integrated approach to mental health and wellbeing support.  You can find further details here:
