Five Dead in Condo Shooting
A 73-year-old man opened fire on his neighbors at a luxury condominium development in Vaughn, Ontario, on Sunday, killing five people and wounding one. Three of the victims killed in the attack were members of the condominium board. The shooter, identified as Francesco Velli, was later killed by police. Velli's social media was filled with complaints about how he was convinced that the condominium's electrical room was adversely affecting his health, and in 2020, he had previously filed a lawsuit against the condominium corporation which was thrown out.

Strikes Brings Holiday Disruption
Strike actions by members of the National Union of Rail, Maritime, and Transport Workers (RMT) are set to severely limit railway service throughout the United Kingdom. Network Rail, Britain's largest railway company, is warning travelers that train services on Christmas Eve are set to stop at 6:00pm as union members walk off the job, and that services will not resume until the morning of December 27. The strikes made by railway workers come at a time when workers in other UK industries are also engaging in strike actions for better pay and working conditions, including health, highway, and postal workers.
