Banff & Lake Louise Tourism
Travel Trade Newsletter: December 2022

Just like the snowflakes that pile up on evergreen branches, the options for winter activities in Banff and Lake Louise are much deeper than you might think!

Therefore, as we welcome the holiday season, we bring you two new experiences your clients can enjoy in winter:

Radventures

Radventures lives for those who want to escape the ordinary. Those who are nomadic by nature and desire deep, authentic, and local connections to make their trip as much about the journey as the destination. Their winter programs specialize in half day, full day & multi day small group and private experiences featuring winter hiking, snowshoeing, ice skating, skiing/snowboarding and more.

You can download their flat sheet here and reach out to the Founder, Dale Schober, at dale@radventurescanada.com

Bow Valley Canyon Tours

Rappel & hike through a world of ice on this one-of-a-kind adventure. Escape the crowds and experience a remote adventure, off the beaten path. Your professional guide will teach and assist you on how to safely manoeuvre and rappel down frozen waterfalls, and through a variety of different slot canyons frozen in mid-stream. A truly unique winter Ice adventure and the only experience of its kind in the Canadian Rockies.

You can download the half-day winter tour flat sheet here and reach out to the Owner, Marc Niehaus, at tours@cwexpeditions.ca

Destination Updates

NEW Restaurant: Añejo

Añejo is the go-to spot for tequila, mezcal and tacos. Join them in the dining room or on the patio for a Mexican culinary experience your clients don't want to miss.

Nightrise at the Banff Gondola

At Nightrise, Sulphur Mountain’s summit is transformed after dark through four digital art installations. Vibrant lighting, multimedia effects, video projections and music bring the mountaintop to life in new and unexpected ways.

In Search of Christmas Spirit available on select nights until December 31, 2022

In Search of Christmas Spirit is an outdoor experience that follows an enchanted trail and is delivered by illuminated sculptures, an engaging story, and captivating sound effects. It tells the story of the wildlife of Banff National Park and their appreciation for the safe space that Banff National Park has gifted them.

Banff’s Hot Chocolate Trail is back!

From November 19th to January 1st, 2022, Banff and Lake Louise’s Hot Chocolate Trail is a treasure map of restaurants each offering festive hot chocolate to get you in the holiday spirit.
