We’re writing to give you, our loyal supporters, an exclusive sneak peek at some exciting news: The Investigative Project on Race and Equity will officially launch in 2023!
We’ve had a busy and fruitful year, including a wonderful 50th anniversary gathering of more than 100 Friends of The Chicago Reporter, a successful virtual workshop on covering systemic racism and a mini-documentary series focused on investigative reporting.
We are already working on our first investigation with a major news media outlet, as well as planning an apprenticeship program and a series of reporting workshops for emerging journalists. Stay tuned for more details when we make our public announcement in 2023.
We could not have not have kept this flame alive without your support. We hope you will consider the Investigative Project on Race and Equity in your year-end giving plans.
