Advocacy high on the agenda of EAEA capacity-building in 2022

In 2022, EAEA organised two trainings for ALE staff. The Younger Staff Training took place in Brussels in September and focused on guidance for learning and career; the Advocacy Academy was held in Istanbul in December and invited ALE organisations from outside the EU to take their first steps towards an advocacy plan. The WG on Quality invites you to consult their recommendations for a new approach to quality assurance for the sector.

How can AI support adult educators in creating learner-centered approaches? EAEA is excited to be coordinating a new Erasmus+ KA2 project AI4AL, which will encourage a conscious use of AI by adult educators. The consortium, with partners from Belgium, Italy, Romania, Germany and Switzerland, met at a kick-off meeting in Brussels on 5-6 December.

Erasmus+ call 2023 launched
The 2023 Erasmus+ call for proposals has been launched! We especially invite you to consider including learner mobilities in your applications for Key Action 1: Mobility of individuals (deadline 23 February). You will see that the target group has now been broadened to include learners of all backgrounds (not only vulnerable learners as was the case in the previous call). If you are planning to include learner mobilities in your KA1 application, do let us know!

More access to Erasmus+ needed in Eastern Europe

EAEA members greatly appreciate the Erasmus+ programme, which drives innovation, improves participation and quality of adult learning provision. That said, non-EU countries in Eastern Europe still face barriers to access the Erasmus+ programme, especially if they work in the non-formal adult education sector.
