As 2022 comes to a close, we want to let you know how deeply grateful we are for your past support, and how crucial your continued generosity is to our work on behalf of Jewish students.

AMCHA Initiative is proud of our relentless efforts to document, investigate, educate about and combat antisemitic activity on American campuses. With your support, AMCHA has become a trusted leader in the fight against campus antisemitism.

This year, our investigative and advocacy efforts were strategically focused in three key areas:

  • Ensuring Equal and Adequate Protection for Jewish Students – AMCHA recently released two groundbreaking studies exposing the nature and scope of the campus assault on Jewish identity and how the unfair treatment of Jewish students under existing school policies has contributed to the proliferation of antisemitism on campuses across the country. The studies also introduced AMCHA’s pioneering approach to the problem, which draws on constitutional principles to ensure equal and adequate protection for Jewish students, and can help create a campus climate where Jewish life can thrive.

  • Countering Anti-Zionist Faculty Abuse and Academic BDS – In March, AMCHA released an important, much-cited report on the contribution of anti-Zionist faculty and academic departments to campus antisemitism, and launched grassroots and coalition campaigns urging university administrators and government officials to establish safeguards preventing faculty from implementing an academic boycott that would deprive students of the ability to study about or in Israel and would incite anti-Jewish bigotry.

  • Combating the Proliferation of Antisemitic “Critical” Ethnic Studies – AMCHA carried out a successful grassroots and media campaign to expose and combat the University of California Academic Senate’s adoption of an ethnic studies admission requirement that would result in almost every high school student in the state being forced to take a course based on an antisemitic “critical” ethnic studies curriculum. AMCHA’s campaign contributed to the Academic Senate’s decision to remove the dangerous proposal from consideration. Additionally, our continuing efforts to expose the attempts of university faculty to bring antisemitic “critical” ethnic studies to K-12 classrooms via teacher training programs has helped bring public attention to this alarming problem and laid the groundwork for our future advocacy efforts.
