THIS WEEKEND AT FIRST CHURCH

We look forward to three services on Christmas Eve, each with it's own special features. Our annual Christmas Eve services are back this year and we look forward to celebrating Christ's birth with you!

Our 4:30 Family Service takes place in the Fellowship Hall with a fun relaxed atmosphere for those who enjoy contemporary worship with a band or families with little ones who may not like to sit still. Each of our services ends with a candlelit version of Silent Night but this service is more kid-friendly with fun and safe glow sticks.

Our 7:30 Communion Service takes place in the sanctuary and provides a more traditional feel with hymns accompanied by piano or organ, liturgy, and Communion for everyone who wants to participate.

The highlight of every year is our 11 pm Cantata Service in the Sanctuary. The majority of the service consists of a Christmas cantata telling the story of Christ's birth accompanied by an orchestra. With the service lasting an hour, we conclude the service by ringing in Christmas day with a candlelit rendition of Silent Night at midnight. The pews usually fill up quickly, so make sure to come early to get a good seat!

Join us at 10:00 am on Sunday for a Lessons & Carols service! We look forward to singing carols and hearing the scriptures which tell the story of Christ's birth. What better day to celebrate than Christmas morning at church!

Join us in person or stream our services online! You can sign in electronically with our connect form or using Realm Connect no matter how you join us.

Last Sunday, we continued our Advent series, A Christmas Carol, with Pastor Rob's sermon, Christmas Future.

CARE-KITS FOR YOUNG ADULTS
Sunday, January 29  |  10:00 am

The Congregational Care team is inviting everyone to participate in a service project for young adults connected to the church. You will see out by the Welcome Center a poster of a mailbox with little envelopes on it. Take a card off the poster and purchase the item listed that will be put into care packages for our young adults. Please return your donations by January 22.

Join us in packing the kits between services on January 29. This will be a great time of simple service and fellowship while munching on breakfast goodies.
