• Sage issued their year-end 2022 updates on 12/15/22. You may need these if you are processing 1099 or W2 forms.   Even if you process 1099 forms outside of Sage 100, I recommend you install the IRD, as it may be required for processing tax forms in future years.

Sage fixed iShip Error

Sage has fixed the iShip error message users received when trying to track shipments within Sage 100. The issue resulted from a change in the URL on the iShip server which Sage had to change as well.

If the issue arises again - here's a quick workaround:

As a temporary workaround add SSO. before the iship.com URL. This will save you from re-keying the data until Sage implements a more permanent workaround.

How this all works:
Clicking the iShip button first connects to a Sage web service called http://services.bestsoftwareinc.com where the tracking number is appended as part of the full URL. Then that web service (not anything in Sage 100 itself) redirects requests to https://sso.iship.com/trackit.

The Impact of Sage 100 Payroll 2.23 and Sage 100 2022 IRD on DSD Enhancements & Custom Programming

DSD Business Systems notified its user's about the latest Sage updates and more specifically which of the DSD enhancements might need an update as a result:

The 2022 IRD for Sage 100 affected one DSD Enhancement: AP-1016. If you have any users with this enhancement, you will need to download the latest version from the DSD website (make sure you select the proper version) and reinstall after you install the 2022 IRD. There is no re-unlock or DSD conversion required.

The Payroll 2.23 that was just released by Sage affected ALL DSD Enhancements for Payroll (PR), Time Track (TC), and Electronic Reporting (MR).

After you install the new Payroll 2.23, download the latest enhancement DSD website (make sure you select the proper version) and reinstall it after you install Payroll 2.23. You will need to re-unlock the DSD Enhancement by going to the DSD Enhancement Control Panel, selecting Unlock All Products, and doing a File Unlock (not a Web Unlock). Next, run the DSD Conversion for the Payroll Enhancement by selecting the DSD Enhancement and doing a Multi-Convert Data. This process can be done after you run the standard Sage Company Conversion.

The email, which can be viewed here, also contains important deadline information for users who plan to use Aatrix for the electronic filing of their year-end forms.

Save 2% on Sage 100 Renewals By Changing To Recurring Payment Method

Sage 100 and Sage 300 customers who switch to a preauthorized method of payment can get 2% off their current renewal amount.

• Offer applies to existing subscription customers.
• Offer only applies to customers who switch to preauthorized payment. Promotion is not offered to customers who are already on a preauthorized payment method.
• To apply the discount, the PAD form must be processed (or credit card must be added to the account) before renewal is processed (with promo code).
• Discount applies to core product only and does not apply to - ISVs/add-ons.

Effective April 1, 2023, the annual on-premises perpetual/M&S list price for Sage HRMS will increase by 10%.

It’s year-end time and that means price adjustments. Remarkably these prices seem to only travel one way. Sage has advised that starting January 1, 2023, they will notify Sage HRMS customers of a price hike of 10% that will go into effect on April 1, 2023. No fooling. Sage is currently offering a multi-year discount for users who move to Sage HRMS Premium.

SAGE 100 NEWS NOBODY READS UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE

Four Reasons Your Sage 100 System May Only Show Deferred Printers

• A deferred printer is the only option available in the Printer selection list
• Deferred printing is the only option available when printing forms or reports
• Deferred and Export printer is the only option available in the Printer selection list
• This may occur for one user, or for all users
• The preview button can not be selected even for Deferred, or perhaps "Preview is not available on workstations that have the Sage 100 server path set to NO ACCESS".

Have you ever tried printing from a Sage 100 workstation and noticed that “Deferred Print” is your only printer available?

According to Sage, there are four common reasons for this:

1. Invalid Windows Printer
2. Insufficient Windows Permissions
3. The Reports Folder is Missing
4. Access to Mapped Drives or Network Resources are Inadequate

Sage has a number of suggestions for diagnosing this issue. In most cases, you’ll want to have someone log in as a domain-level administrator and then test whether the issue persists.

To correct, access Role Maintenance in Library Master and lookup Role applied to employee having issue. Go to Tasks tab, GL section, Setup then Source Journal Maintenance and enable at least the View option.
