How far we've come!

As 2022 draws to a close, we highlight the year's successes and the market trends as electrification continues to gain momentum.

The energy revolution needs minerals. (Lots of minerals!)
Western governments are looking for local, resilient and ESG-compliant sources.

NMG is executing its business strategy as a new era of mining and industrial growth takes shape in North America; one that is economically efficient, environmentally responsible, collaborative with Indigenous Peoples and innovative. May the new year drive forward investments, socio-economic development and the deployment of cleantech.

On behalf of the entire Team Nouveau Monde, thank you for following us and Happy Holidays!

Québec is well positioned with respect to the climate crisis and the energy transition

Access to hydroelectricity, the government's economic strategy and the availability of critical minerals provide Québec with a strategic and enviable position with respect to the climate crisis and the energy transition.

This year, the developing battery industry in Bécancour, Québec, where NMG already has facilities, has generated a lot of interest from the automotive industry, investors and governments from around the world.

Much has been written in the media about the ever-increasing demand for graphite anode material and the supply that will not meet that demand. With over 8 terawatt-hours of lithium-ion battery production expected by 2031, a LOT of graphite will be needed.
