As we give thanks at Christmas for the birth of Jesus and look forward to 2023, we think about the friends and supporters over the year who have been important for Moldova Mission Network.  We have really appreciated your support for our special appeals for Ukraine, and for our regular ministry activities for students, married couples, and orphans!   All of our ministries pivoted to help in their special way with the Ukraine conflict, but in past few months they've been able to return to much of their main work.

The cost of fuel for homes and vehicles has nearly doubled in some cases, forcing some families to start using firewood instead of gas. Other expenses have increased substantially because of the war. In addition, Moldovans are having problems with electricity because of the country's dependence on the Ukrainian power grid.

We continue to appreciate the faithfulness, perseverance, and can-do spirit of MMN's workers in Moldova, and we invite you to join us in helping them with the tasks ahead in 2023. As Jesus brings light to our world, please consider helping us to share His light and spread God's love in Word and deed through Moldova.

MMN serves Moldova...

....CONDUCTING FAMILY AND OUTREACH MINISTRIES
Slavic Verenciuc, the sole employee of the Moldova Ministry, leads two of the four functions of the Moldova Ministry Network. Slavic works diligently every day for Jesus. His ministry using The Alpha Marriage Course (pictured at right) has reached almost 800 couples all over Moldova. He has trained other couples to help reach communities speaking Russian and those who speak Romanian.
His Outreach work involves areas most of us do not normally consider Outreach. To him it means going beyond evangelism to include reaching not only the lost, but the strays, strengthening the spiritually weak, and caring for the spiritually wounded. Your gift of $100 will support this ministry for a month.

...HELPING ORPHANS AND FOSTER FAMILIES SURVIVE WINTER

Moldova faces a crisis of lack of heat and electricity this winter—because of Russia’s cutting energy supplies in half while doubling the cost. As a result, Save the Orphans' foster families and transitional homes for orphans are now struggling to obtain firewood for heat to replace the gas that they cannot find or afford.
Firewood is the only hope for these destitute families for heat. Firewood costs $200 per family and two food bags are $60. Together, we can help these families survive through this winter by providing life-saving firewood to heat their simple homes. Any amount donated will be appreciated and will do much to help these cold, hungry orphans and foster children in Moldova.

...EDUCATING STUDENTS AND PASTORS

In spite of blackouts affecting class presentations this fall, UDG's gas expenses' growing by 55% and electricity costs' more than tripling, the school has forged ahead with its work. UDG faculty members traveled to satellite schools in November (teaching in classrooms like the one at right), and UDG students go regularly to assist in worship leadership and other in various churches in the country.
Your gift of $350/mo. will provide tuition for a Central Asian student for an entire academic year, while a gift of $275/mo. will do the same for a Moldovan or East European student. Please consider helping for a full or half academic year.
